The location and the bungalows are nice, the hotel is small and calm, it is near the "center" which is cool to walk/ride around to see how life goes on condao. The restaurant is simple but has got quite a few nice things to enjoy, looking at the sea.

We had a big rat in our bedroom, the 2 nights we stayed in our bungalow. We did realize afterwards that it even got into my girlfriend's suitcase to eat ginger-sugar.. The staff was nice but not so helpful trying to remedy this intrusion, eventhough they eventually offered to switch room. The bathroom is quite nice with a very fancy shower setup but the water pressure is too low to really enjoy it. Like Condao resort next door and other hotels in this part of this island, you get a direct view onto the local fishermen boats, quite a lot of them sometimes, even close to the shore, this also causes not so pleasant stuff on the beach. This means no proper swimming on this beach, unless you like beer cans, plastic bags, cigaret buts... you have to rent a scooter and go to other places which is actually a very great thing to do on Con dao and makes it such a pleasant place anyway

The hotel is nice. Staff tried to be helpful, although little knowledge of English. Tasty cuisine in the hotel. The rooms are huge, with large windows and a terrace overlooking the beach (but bring mosquito repellent). The hotel is 15-20 minutes walk from the city center. In the hotel you can rent scooters (or in the city in Dive!Dive!Dive!) Very few people in the island! So do not look here tourist infrastructure. To take a scooter and ride around the island, and go on a boat ride and snorkling with the Dive!Dive!Dive!

Con Dao itself was the biggest disappointment.I Have been traveled a lot in Vietnam living here for 2 years. And now I can say that Con Dao is the worst place to go in Vietnam. Pure water - but awful beaches with sand flies, Nice views - but if you don't ride motorbike and take taxi - it will cost you a lot to explore island We spent 2 days only but actually I got bored even on 2nd day as there is nothing to do. Snorkeling sucks! to watch turtles - 120USD per person - the price for crazy turtle-lovers! About hotel - they are still building territory, maybe in one year it will be nice place but now it looks like after war. Shower didn't work well, I asked to fix it, but no result. We were bitten by sand flies on hotel's beach

The location is wonderful - the bungalows are just a 20 meters walk to a dream beach, which belongs to you alone most of the time. Showers, parasols and canvas chairs at the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean, with full window front and beautiful private terraces facing the garden and sea. Transfer to airport was arranged at no extra cost. Quick and easy check-in, very nice staff.

Water pressure is poor, so the modern shower is ok, but not all functions are working. Breakfast in the restaurant pavillon is good, but you might have a hard time trying to explain what you want, as some of the staff members understand only very little English (a la carte order, but without a menu - this might be an easy point to improve).

Location was very nice. Roms were very nice. Restaurant was Not so Good. Staff Needs to Improve their englisch speaking capabilities.

The rooms are large and spacious and look out right into the beach.

A loud wedding took over on the first night and then the army were on the grounds for our entire stay redoing paths etc, so we didn't have any privacy as they were right outside our bungalow from early morning and throughout the day. Then we weren't allowed to walk on the paths while they were drying and no alternatives were given us so we had to walk through overgrowth to gt to our room. In general there seemed little concern for the welfare of the guests during this renovation process, no apologies were made or consideration given. Personally I think there should have been a discount given as the hotel did not seem ready for the season yet. Also although it is lovely to be right on the beach fishing boats are moored directly in front of the rooms with very bright flourescent lights and noisy engines which start up early n the morning. Apparently the boats are not supposed to moor in this harbour but do anyway.

Excellent locatiion just 50 m to the beach and near the "center" of con dao island. Very hospitable staff, helpful with any request we did, mostly young and very very kind people. The villa was large enough, clean and comfortable. Really romantic place! You can sleep with seaside doors opened listening to the waves of the sea so close to you, Good restaurant near the beach. You can ask for anything you want for the breakfast, even for famous vietnamese noodle soup. Staff was so smiling and really tried to answer any our expectations. It seemed even that if we didn't like anything they would be sad personally. Rent the motobike to see the whole island but it's queit cheeper to rent outside of the hotel. Anyway the prices for everything are so cheep there so you can forget about it. Try all the exotic fruits in the market in the center of the village.

Every villa consists of 2 separated rooms with own entrance, but using the toilet or bathroom you can hear well if someone doing the same behind the wall. The telephone didn't work, The speed of wi-fi internet is queit low.

The staff seems to be trying. The man with the best English (Quoc Anh, I think) is very kind and tried to make the most of a bad situation.

Need to make big changes soon! 1. $80/night is WAY too much for this place. There are comparable places for a fraction of the price. 2. The place was under construction from 6:30am every day, but they did not advertize this fact. The sound of saws, drilling, hammering, etc. was constant. 3. The beach chairs were old, worn and some plain broken. It looks like they don't care at all. 4. The menu at the restaurant is extensive, but so many of the options are not available. 5. The food was average at best. 6. Our towels were stained (not just 1 time, but multiple towels) 7. The beach is crowded with fishing boats very near to the shore.

The Bungalows are beautiful, wooden and rustic, with amazing views of the beach right at your doorstep. A stone throw away from the water. The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was nice (selection of three dishes every morning a la carte style, fresh tropical juices, vietnamese coffee, tea, saigon rolls etc). The resort is in a perfect beach front location compared to other resorts which do not have as nice beach front locations. (some resorts do not have a beach front at all but a concrete water front)

Unfortunately I did not get to stay at the resort a became very ill on the flight into Con Dao. What I saw of the resort and our room I was impressed. The staff arranged for me to go to hospital and stayed with me. I do not remember too much but my husband tells me that they were fantastic in helping with me. I will most certainly go back again. If you are looking for peace and relaxation with no hustle or bustle then I strongly recommend this resort!
